I spent at least 10 hours coloring this piece and drawing the landscape.

She's a humanoid bird-of-prey living in the Mongolian desert. She ambushes unsuspecting traders and nomads traveling through the desert. Humans are momentarily hypnotized by her gaze, giving her the chance to attack. She also steals from her victims, which is why she's wearing rich silk fabrics and leather armor. But you can't really blame her, she's a product of her environment. It's a tough life in the desert.

That's the little story that developed in my mind as I colored and developed her personality.
